The first day of the South African Senior Track and Field Championships has kicked off with a bang.

In the women’s 100m final, Joviale Mbisha won the national title.
In the women’s 5000m final, Glenrose Xaba destroyed the field to win her fifteen national title on the track and the road.
In the shot put final, Aiden Smith won the gold medal with a massive throw of 21.31 m.
