Defending champions Orlando Pirates are through to the final of the Nedbank Cup for the third time in a row. Pirates will face the winner between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs in the final to be played next month. This will be outgoing Pirates coach Jose Riveiro’s third Nedbank Cup final with the club after winning two in a row.

The only goal of the match was scored by midfielder Kabelo Dlamini in the first half. The Buccaneers made four changes to the team that started the CAF Champions League match against MC Alger midweek.

Number one keeper Sipho Chaine and star player Relebohile Mofokeng started on the bench for the homeside.

Dlamini put the defending champions in the lead as early as the 22nd minute after being set up by Patrick Maswanganyi.
