Football supporters in the country are still waiting to hear who the successful bidder is to take ownership of the cash-strapped KwaZulu-Natal Premiership club, Royal AM.
The curator who decided to put the club under the hammer because of SARS debt amounting to approximately R40 million, is expected to make an announcement soon.
There’s been no word yet, but football administrator turned politician, David Skosana, believes the consortium he represents, was unsuccessful because they haven’t heard from the curator.
He told the Sowetan they put in a bid of R15 million and understands the winning bidder pitched R25 million.
