The South African Weather Service (SAWS) says an approaching cold front will bring cold, wet and very windy conditions to parts of the Western Cape by Sunday morning. Forecaster, Langutelani Mathebula says rough sea conditions are expected between Saldanha Bay and Plettenberg Bay.
He says the adverse weather is expected to persist into Monday.

“Rainfall accumulation of 20 to 4 millimeters is expected over the Southwestern parts of the Western Cape. Strong interior winds of 40 to 50 km per hour, gusting at 70 to 90 kilometer an hour are expected over the southern parts of Namakwa region and the Central Karoo on Sunday. We’re expecting some difficult driving conditions for high-sighted vehicles. We’re also expecting some difficulty in navigation at sea due to rough and choppy seas.”
