Postbank urges grant recipients to change to Black Card by 31 August

Postbank has warned social grant recipients that they will not be able to use their Gold Cards to withdraw money after the August 31 deadline to change to the new Postbank Black cards.

The current Gold Cards are being faced out and will cease to operate.

Postbank spokesperson Bongani Diako has urged recipients not to wait until the last minute.

“The window period for replacing SASSA Gold Cards is closing fast and we are concerned that many beneficiaries may think that they still have sufficient time, or the period will be extended. All that is required to replace your card is your South African ID or a temporary ID,” says Diako.
