Police to release images of suspects in Ndlovu, Mdhluli Case

Police are set to release images of the two suspects still at large following the kidnapping and hijacking of journalist Aserie Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Mdhluli.

Five suspects made a brief appearance in the KwaMhlanga Magistrate’s Court in Mpumalanga yesterday.

This follows the discovery of the remains of two people in Rust de Winter in Limpopo on Thursday in an area pointed out by one of the suspects.

The couple has been missing since February.

National police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says one of the suspects on the run is believed to have been the triggerman.

“We are looking for two more suspects that we believe can assist us in this case. The first suspect that we are looking for is David Madisha, who we believe can assist us in this particular case. He is 24 years of age. We are also looking for another suspect; his name is Sello; his nickname is Cry. So, we are going to be issuing their pictures this morning just to send an alert. We do believe that one of the two men that we are looking for, pulled the trigger on this couple.

Mathe says court proceedings were adjourned to allow one of the suspects to receive medical attention.

She also says one of the suspects is a minor.

“We have already arrested five suspects who are in custody; one was released because he is a minor, so he was released into the care of his parents. And court had to adjourn yesterday because one of the suspects claimed that he was assaulted, and the court adjourned for him to get medical care. But we are resuming; we are back in court on Monday, where we are presenting a case of kidnapping and hijacking, being in possession of stolen property, and house robbery, and hopefully by the time we are hoping that in a few weeks when it is confirmed that the human remains belong to them. We will add an additional charge of murder.”
