Phala Phala accused lose bid to have charges dropped


The Modimolle Regional Court in Limpopo has dismissed the defence lawyers’ application to have charges against the three accused in the
Phala Phala case dropped.

Magistrate Peter Manthata has ruled that the accused have cases to answer.

He’s also questioned how one of the accused, Imanuwela David, amassed wealth in US dollars that he used to buy property. Siblings, Froliana and Ndilinasho Joseph, are being tried for the theft of 580-thousand US dollars from President Cyril Ramaphosa’s farm in Bela-Bela in February 2020.
