Former uMkhonto weSizwe (MKP) Spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndlela being registered on the Parliamentary system on June 25, 2024 ahead of being sworn in as a Member of Parliament.
The uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) has suspended the membership of its former spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela.
Ndhelala’s removal and the appointment of Sifiso Mahlangu as spokesperson were announced on Tuesday.
In a statement, the party says its President, Jacob Zuma, has taken the decision to suspend Ndhlela’s membership with immediate effect, pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
The MKP says this decision follows serious allegations relating to misconduct, sowing division within the organisation and conduct that has brought the party into disrepute.
Ndhlela has to return all party material in his possession in the next seven days.
In a social media post, Ndhlela has refuted allegations of sowing divisions within the party.
