Mbalula calls on veterans to stop attacking the ANC in the media

The African National Congress (ANC) Secretary-eneral Fikile Mbalula has called on the party’s veterans to stop attacking the organisation in the media.

Addressing the ANC Veterans League, Mbalula appealed to members to engage party stalwarts in a bid to prevent them from attacking the ANC publicly.

Recently former ANC President Thabo Mbeki criticized the organisation’s stance on the Constitutional Court judgment regarding Parliament’s handling of an independent report on the Phala Phala case.

Mbeki said it had nothing to do with the ANC and that it was President Cyril Ramaphosa’s personal matter.

“Elders of the movement must retreat from the media; the elders must desist from attacking the movement in the media. Please engage the stalwarts who are attacking the ANC in the media,” Mbalula elaborates.
