Former AZAPO president Doctor Mosibudi Mangena has hailed the party’s late secretary-general Don Nkadimeng for his good leadership qualities.
Nkadimeng, who was affectionately known as “Bra Don”, died last year in Limpopo at the age of 77.
He was AZAPO’s first provincial chairperson.
Advocate Mojanku Gumbi will deliver Nkadimeng’s memorial lecture at the University of Limpopo this Saturday.
Mangena spoke ahead of the memorial lecture, “Even after him completing his law studies, that activism continued. He had a practice here in Polokwane, and he was defending people, especially those who were charged with the fight against oppression, for free in many cases. And at one time, he became chairman of AZAPO in Limpopo; it was then called Northern Transvaal.”
