4 killed in car and bus collision near Sekgosese outside Tzaneen

Four people have been killed in a collision between a car and a bus in Sekgosese outside Tzaneen in Limpopo.

The deceased are three men and a woman who were occupants of a car in the crash which happened in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The bus driver who was travelling alone sustained multiple injuries.

The provincial Transport Department spokesperson, Mashudu Mabata says,“The department extends its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wishes the injured a speedy recovery. Motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution, particularly during this rainy season. Before undertaking any journey, please ensure the following: wiper blades and tyres are in good condition, headlights are switched on during rain and poor visibility, a safe following distance is maintained, speed limits are adhered to at all times and Instructions from traffic officers are obeyed.”
