Magaqa murder trial resumes in Pietermaritzburg High Court

The trial of three men accused of the murder of former African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) Secretary-General Sindiso Magaqa is expected to resume in the Pietermaritzburg High Court.

The matter was postponed last month to allow former uMzimkhulu Municipal Manager Zweliphansi Skhosana time to secure legal representation.

Sikhosana, who remains in custody, was arrested last year after self-confessed and convicted hitman Sibusiso Ncengwa implicated him in the case.

Magaqa was shot in 2017 and later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Meanwhile, co-accused Sbonelo Myeza and Mbulelo Mpofana remain out on bail as the trial continues.
