Members of the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party are protesting outside the Pretoria Magistrates Court where a 41-year-old man is expected to appear in connection with the alleged assault of patrons at the Zanzou nightclub in Hatfield.

This after a video, depicting young men in their 20s being sexually violated at the club, went viral over recent weeks.

The man was arrested in Yeoville, Johannesburg on Friday.

MK party spokesperson Abel Tau says they are at court to show support for the alleged victims.

“We will obviously be calling as well for further investigation to know that over the weekend there was a surface of yet another incident that involved the same culprit and therefore we are of the view that there have been things that have been happening for the longest time and we really need to get down to the bottom of it because we believe that this is just a tip of an ice bag.”
