The kidnapping and human trafficking case of Joslin Smith from Saldanha Bay on the Cape West Coast has been adjourned to March 3. Western Cape High Court judge, Nathan Erasmus, set down the date and the venue during pre-trial proceedings.
The trial will be held at the multi-purpose centre in Saldanha Bay which has been proclaimed a court specifically for this trial so that the community is able to attend proceedings.
Six-year-old Joslin went missing from her home in the Middlepos informal settlement on February 19, 2024.
Her mother, Kelly Smith, Jacquen Appollis and Steveno Van Rhyn face charges of kidnapping and human trafficking.
