MEC unhappy over slow pace of completion of Marapong Village homes

Limpopo’s Human Settlements MEC Basikopo Makamu has expressed unhappiness over the lack of progress in the construction of residential units at Marapong Village in Modimolle.

There has been delays in the completion of 500 residential units.

The project, which is supposed to be completed in April this year, is still lagging behind.

Makamu says they monitor the project, “The progress has moved but still we are not satisfied with the progress because the intention was that it should be completed by the end of April.

What we have seen is that we are still going to meet with the teams on Monday to look at how we review the plans because the plans will not necessarily enable us to reach completion by April 30.”
