Reinhardt Leach, who is accused of the murder of his girlfriend Vicky Terblanche, seen in the dock at the High Court in Gqeberha.
The trial of Reinhardt Leach, accused of conspiring to murder his girlfriend, Vicky Terblanche, is continuing at the High Court in Gqeberha. Co-accused turned state witness, Dylan Cullis, is being cross-examined.
Cullis testified that it was Leach, not him, who smothered Terblanche with a pillow after their attempt to overdose her failed.
Cullis admitted to heavy drug use on the day of the murder but maintained that Leach was the one who ultimately killed Terblanche, despite evidence from the defence that the cause of death was an overdose, not suffocation.
Cullis’ testimony contradicted earlier statements made by Leach, including details about the firearm and the murder plan.
