Child rapist and murderer, Itumeleng Machabe.
The Northern Cape High Court has found 27-year-old Itumeleng Machabe guilty of the murder of an 11-year-old minor who was kidnapped and raped in Kimberley in 2022.
Relebogile Segami was killed and her body was dumped by Machabe behind the provincial legislature.
The convict has been in custody since his arrest in 2022.
Judge Cecile Williams will hand down his sentence next Tuesday.
Relebogile’s father, Kagisho Segami, says he hopes that Machabe will be sentenced to many years behind bars.
“I am praying to God for a strong judgment so that my family can be happy. The mother of my child is very sick, so I want her to try and be strong. I am also thankful for all the organisations that have been supporting us.”
