The trial of the murder accused Reinhardt Leach is continuing in the Gqeberha High Court on Tuesday. Leach is accused of conspiring with his co-accused to murder his girlfriend Vicky Terblanche in October 2021.

Last week, state witness and forensic pathologist, Dr Annemarie Mattheus told the court that Terblanche died from multi-drug intoxication.

Today, Crime Scene Investigator, Phillip Rudolph Bekker took the stand as the first witness. Using data from Leach’s vehicle tracker, Baker mapped the vehicle’s movements around the time of the murder.

State Prosecutor, Marius Stander argues that the data supports the state’s claim that Leach murdered and buried Terblanche’s body in a shallow grave.

The case is ongoing.
