Fifteen people have been killed in a road crash between a bakkie and a taxi on the R40 road in Hoedspruit, Limpopo.
Transport spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene says their officials are at the scene, clearing the road.
She says the cause of the fatal crash is yet to be confirmed.
Chuene says, “We have received reports of a crash between a bakkie and a mini-bus taxi which occurred in the early hours of this morning on the R40 road near Kabama game farm. Unfortunately, the accident has resulted in serious injuries and fatalities. Further details will be confirmed as information becomes available from law enforcement officers who are at the scene.”
