Police are investigating a suspected vigilante attack after three people were shot and set alight in Delft on the Cape Flats on Tuesday morning.
According to police spokesperson Andre Traut, officers responded to the crime scene in Gushindoda where they found the bodies of two men and a third victim, believed to be a woman, as identification is yet to be made.
“What led to the multiple murders is yet to be determined and the suspects are yet to be arrested. Vigilantism is condemned in the strongest possible terms, and offenders are regarded as ruthless criminals who can expect to be dealt with in a court of law,” says Traut.
No arrests have been made, and police investigations are ongoing.
