Inanda residents have arrived at the Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court in Durban to attend the court appearance of 12 suspects who were arrested last month for allegedly hacking five people to death.
The bodies were found in a local sports ground by the community.
The court is expected to hand down judgment on the bail applications today.
Members of the community allege that the deceased were part of a gang that was terrorising the community.
The accused are believed to be members of a community forum and are facing charges of murder, attempted murder and hijacking.
