The alleged child pornography couple, Darryn Willken and his partner, are wanted in at least three other countries. This emerged at the hearing of their bail application at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court.

They face multiple charges including 24 counts of money laundering, possession and distribution of child pornography, and contravention of the Drug Trafficking Act.

The couple was flagged by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in the United States.

“A so-called sextortion matter was reported by an underage girl in the United States of America. The sextortion matter was investigated and reported to the FBI. The investigation led them to a website called Dunkmedas. The investigation led to applicant one being identified as the administrator of this website,” says Colleen Ryan, the state prosecutor.

The couple had packages for the illegal content.

The state is opposing bail citing that the accused will make means to destroy any evidence and get access to their cryptocurrency.

Their matter has been postponed until later this week, for their legal counsel to make counter-arguments.
