Woman charged with possession of child pornography and money laundering appears in court, Johannesburg, January 27, 2025.
The case of a 25-year-old woman charged with possession of child pornography and money laundering will resume at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court in Johannesburg this morning.
The woman, a web designer, appeared in court yesterday to begin her bail application. She was arrested in Houghton last week.
Police have linked her to 35-year-old Darren Wilken, who was arrested earlier this month for possessing over 10 million images and videos of child pornography.
Authorities report that specialised police units uncovered evidence tying the woman to these activities. The materials were found on electronic devices seized during an operation conducted on January 17, 2025.
Investigations into the case are ongoing.
