Police arrest the girlfriend of the Midrand child pornography suspect following intensive investigation.
A 25-year-old woman is set to appear in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court today on charges of possession of child pornography and money laundering.
The suspect, a web designer, was arrested in Houghton in Johannesburg, last week.
She is reportedly the girlfriend of Darren Wilken, a 35-year-old man arrested earlier this month.
Wilken was allegedly found in possession of over 10 million images, a large amount of cash and videos of child pornography, along with drugs.

An investigation by the Serial and Electronic FCS Investigation (SECI) unit uncovered evidence linking the woman to criminal activities, including the possession of the same volume of explicit materials.
The images and videos were found on electronic devices seized during a recent operation conducted on Friday, 17 January 2025.
Further investigations into the case are ongoing.
