Life terms handed down for Cape Flats gang member’s three killers

Three gang members have been sentenced to life terms each for the murder of a rival gang member in Lavender Hill on the Cape Flats.

The High Court in Cape Town also sentenced them to five years each for the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

The Hawks say Achmat Gaffoor was shot dead while Waseem Wilson sustained gunshot injuries in May 2020. Both were members of the Flakka Kids gang.

The convicted three, Shakoor Gaffoor, Riedewaan Cedras and Grandill Solomons were identified as members of the Junky Funky Kids gang.

The sentence will run concurrently.
