Family members of the three men who were shot execution-style in Ntuzuma, north of Durban, say they are seeking answers.
The incident comes after residents discovered the bodies of five men in a local sports field in Inanda yesterday. The men had apparently been hacked to death.
About 12 people have since been arrested in connection with that incident.
The father of one of the Ntuzuma victims, Zwilibi Msomi says, “We know children can be naughty, but we don’t know of any shady things they could have been doing. We were with my son the whole day yesterday up until six in the evening but later he went out with his friends. The three of them were inseparable, but we can’t deny and say they didn’t do anything. Maybe they did something, but we don’t know anything. As you could see they look clean, they were decent young men.”
Meanwhile, Lebohang Ramoholi who lost her 42-year-old brother says he was not troublesome.
“We received a phone call informing us to rush to the scene because Zwe and two other men from the area have been shot, they are lying on the side of the road. I don’t remember him quarreling with anyone. The three of them were friends, they didn’t like to fight. They would always go drinking on weekends just like any other young men.”
