Security guard injured in cash-in-transit heist on M19 in Durban

A security guard has been injured during an alleged cash-in-transit robbery on the M19 highway, Pinetown-bound, near Reservoir Hills in Durban.

According to Advanced Life Support paramedic spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, the guard suffered open wounds to his arm and was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

“He was stabilised on scene by advanced life support paramedics before he was loaded into an awaiting-a-list paramedics ambulance and transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required. Both Parts of the M19 were closed, whilst SAPS and all necessary authorities investigated this incident.”
