KwaZulu-Natal Social Development MEC, Mbali Shinga, has been involved in a vehicle crash on the N3. This is as the province experiences rain.
The department says Shinga accompanied by bodyguards in other vehicles, was traveling to work this morning in Pietermaritzburg when her motorcade became stuck in traffic.
A speeding motorist crashed into a security vehicle from behind and then collided with the vehicle the MEC was in.
Social Development spokesperson, Thuba Vilane, says Shinga escaped unharmed and is continuing with her work.
