South African Weather Services has issued a warning for severe thunderstorms.
The South African Weather Service says KwaZulu-Natal residents should brace themselves for wet weather conditions over the next few days.
Weather forecaster Sihle Dlamini says various parts of the province can expect up to a 60% chance of thundershowers.
“We have 60% chances of showers, and then the showers in various parts of the province and some areas could be 30% or more. Going through the weekend on Saturday, there is also going to be a 60% chance of thundershowers extended to Sunday. That will be mostly over the interior and along the coastal areas on that day. We have a 30% chance of showers and then thundershowers. In terms of outlets, we have not foreseen any warnings for now, but we will update in due time.”
