A 15-year-old self-taught artist from the KwaZakhele township in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape is using his creative talent to inspire young people.
Kungawo Sangqu aims to showcase the diverse opportunities available to generate income.
He also wants to empower his peers to explore their passions.
The artist’s elder sister, Unathi Sangqu says she hopes he will find a school and funding to help him achieve his dream.
“The thing I wish for him is to be recognised and I wish he could get funding so that he could go straight to his goal like as an architect.”
