The Gautrain Management Agency says they are committed to facilitating a smooth and safe travel experience for attendees of the Chris Brown concert this weekend.
The Agency says a dedicated late-night Gautrain service will be available for concertgoers, with an additional bus shuttle service operating between Park Station and FNB Stadium.
Gautrain Senior Executive Manager Albie Modise says the standard Gautrain service ends at 20:30, a dedicated late-night service will commence after the concert, with the last train leaving Park Station at midnight.
“Standard Gautrain train, bus, and parking fares will apply. The Gautrain service for the Chris Brown concert forms part of an integrated public transport plan that includes various transport operators in the province, in order to accommodate the large crowds expected.”

Meanwhile, the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) is advising motorists of road closures around the FNB stadium due to the Chris Brown concert taking place tonight as well as at Nasrec due to the Economic Freedom Fighters’ 3rd National People’s Assembly at the Nasrec Expo Centre.
The concert is expected to commence at 7pm both today and tomorrow night until 11pm.
JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla says to manage increased traffic flow around the FNB Stadium and the Nasrec Expo Centre, full road closures will be implemented starting from this afternoon on both concert days.
Fihla says motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and expect delays.
“Motorists should anticipate increased traffic volumes and potential congestion due to the closure for the Chris Brown particularly on Nasrec Road and Recreation Road, Nasrec Road and Randshow Road, Randshow Road and Cornus Street, Cornus Street and Ring Road and Randshow road and Golden Highway.”
