File photo: A mini bus involved in a crash
Thirteen people have been killed in two separate crashes in the Free State in the last 24 hours.
In the first one, 10 people were killed on the N1 south of Koppies towards Kroonstad when a minibus crashed into a truck in the early hours of this morning.
One person from the minibus and the truck driver survived. The affected stretch of the road is currently closed as emergency personnel extract bodies from the wreckage.

In the second crash, three people including a nine-year-old child were in a collision between two bakkies on the R30 between Allanridge and Odendaalsrus last night.
