The case against legendary musician and record producer, Sello Chicco Twala‘s son Longwe, has been postponed to Monday by the Randburg Magistrate’s Court.

Longwe Twala was re-arrested after he violated his bail conditions by not showing up in court. He faces a charge of theft after he allegedly broke into his father’s Fourways home and stole studio equipment worth more than R200 000.

Longwe intends to make another bail application.

State Prosecutor Dinesh Nandkissor elaborates, “The accused had advised that he had not been at court because he had taken ill. No one is aware of a certificate. The investigation officer has discussed the matter with the aunt who has no knowledge of him being ill. The other aspect is that of the person who had been accommodating him previously had made a statement that he no longer wishes to accommodate him.”
