A fire has ravaged the Manyane Game Reserve near Mahikeng in the North West leaving extensive damage in its wake.
It is reported that the blaze broke out this afternoon and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
The resort was still getting renovated.
The project that was started in 2016, was shrouded in controversy last year when it came to light that R71 million was already spent on it and yet it was not complete.
One of the resort workers shared their devastation, saying she saw the fire after lunch and they fear that they might lose their jobs.
“I am shattered because from now on we won’t be able to have stable jobs like we used to. Now, we have wait for them to do some investigations and then we will take it from there. From now in December, we won’t be working up until they give us feedback,” says an employee,
