Thohoyandou High Court in Limpopo.
The bail hearing of two Radzuma siblings accused of the murder of two South African Municipal Workers’ Union (Samwu) leaders is expected to continue at Thohoyandou Magistrate Court in Limpopo.
Simon and Ndivhuwo Radzuma’s application for bail on new facts was granted by the High Court in Thohoyandou two months ago.
The two were previously denied bail, however, they appealed the court’s decision to deny them bail and made another application based on new facts.
The other sibling, Percy, was denied bail on two occasions.
Simon, Percy and Ndivhuwo Radzuma are facing 40 charges, including the murders of Samwu leaders, Timson Musetsho and Ronald Mani.
A finger expert was on the stand on Thursday during Percy’s trial within a trial at the High Court in Thohoyandou.
The expert’s testimony was meant to determine whether a thumbprint on a confession statement belonged to Percy.
This is after he has previously denied making the statement, saying the thumbprint is not his.
‘Payment made to kill Samwu leader’
During proceedings last month, the court heard that two of the siblings were paid R150 000 to kill Musetsho.
Police Captain Mulingoni Tshilande read the confession a statement made by Simon saying Percy had paid him R50 000 and was left with R100 000.
