Longwe Twala, the son of music legend Sello Chicco Twala, appeared in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court.

His case has been postponed to Wednesday next week.

Longwe was rearrested yesterday, after failing to appear in court last month following his release from custody.

At that time, his lawyer argued that Longwe was not a flight risk.

In September, Twala allegedly broke into his father’s property and stole items worth R200 000. Charges against his brother, Sello, were dropped due to lack of evidence.

He has been out on warning which was granted with conditions.

Some of Twala’s release conditions included that he stay free from drugs and alcohol for the duration of the trial.
