Eskom tower batteries
Police in the Northern Cape have arrested three men aged between 20 and 30 years, on charges of possession of suspected stolen goods in Prieska.
The trio were found carrying boxes and a backpack during patrols and were apprehended for being in possession of alleged stolen Telkom batteries.
Provincial police spokesperson Sergio Kock says, “During the execution of safer festive season operations, the Prieska SAPS crime prevention members spotted three suspicious-looking males carrying boxes and a backpack whilst conducting patrols in the Prieska CBD. The police stopped and searched the suspects and recovered 30 Telkom batteries that were allegedly stolen at a nearby Telkom building. The three male suspects are aged between 20 and 30 years. They were arrested and are expected to appear in the Prieska Magistrates court soon on charges of possession of suspected stolen goods”
