The trial of Ntanganedzeni Nemaranzhe, accused of orchestrating her husband’s murder, has been postponed to February next year.

The case is being heard at the Thohoyandou High Court which is sitting at the Waterval Magistrate’s Court outside Louis Trichardt.

Nemaranzhe is alleged to have hired three men — Tshivhangwaho Mudau, Tshililo Madega, and Takalani Nemutandani — to murder her husband, businessman Azwifaneli Mudau, on Valentine’s Day in 2019.

The trial which began in 2023 will resume from February 10-14, 2025.

To date, more than ten witnesses have testified.

According to evidence presented in court, Azwifaneli Mudau was lured to his home, where he encountered Nemaranzhe at the gate before being fatally shot at Makwarela township outside Thohoyandou.

One of the hired men has since died, while Nemaranzhe and the remaining accused have been remanded in custody.
