Adams is back in the dock to fight for his freedom.
On Wednesday, the state strongly opposed his bail application, saying he attempted to evade police when the arrest warrant was issued.
The state also argued he has no reliable address and is likely to interfere with state witnesses after he allegedly attempted to influence the Hawks officer who helped him visit Magaqa’s killer, Sibusiso Ncengwa, at Westville prison.
It further pointed to his refusal to follow a 2023 Equality Court order after making a prohibited speech.
In his affidavit, Adams denied the state’s claims.
The defence is expected to present its arguments for bail today.
