The eleven were arrested following a police intelligence-driven operation which led to the discovery of, among others, an illegal drug manufacturing facility worth over a billion rand and approximately 481 kilograms of methamphetamine.
Police say preliminary investigations indicate that the discovered laboratory is the fourth drug laboratory in South Africa with alleged Mexican links.
