Bail ruling due for pastor accused of raping two minors in Limpopo

The Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo is expected to rule on the bail application of a pastor accused of raping two minors.

The pastor’s details cannot be disclosed in order to protect the children’s identities.

He allegedly raped the two 15-year old girls under the pretext of conducting prayer services at his house in Alldays between 2019 and 2022.

During the last court appearance, the investigating officer, Ishmael Matjeka gave testimony opposing bail.

The court heard that the accused is a flight risk.

The court also heard that the pastor has traveled to different countries, including Israel, DRC and Botswana.

The defense lawyer argued that the accused should be granted bail as this is the first time he is accused of crime.
