Tiffany Meek appeared at the Johannesburg High Court on February 18, 2026.
The trial of 32-year-old Tiffany Meek, accused of killing her 11-year-old son, Jayden-Lee, is expected to resume in the Johannesburg High Court on Wednesday morning.
Meek faces several charges, including crimen injuria and attempting to defeat the ends of justice. The state has since withdrawn the charge of child abuse, citing insufficient evidence.
Jayden-Lee’s body was discovered next to a stairway at a residential complex in Fleurhof, where he lived with his mother.
According to the state, Jayden-Lee was struck with a blunt object, his blood was allegedly found on his bed and school uniform and it is believed that the scene was staged to mislead investigators.
During her last court appearance, Meek pleaded not guilty to all charges, denying any involvement in her son’s death or abuse.
She has since been denied bail, with the state indicating that witnesses are available.
