ANC to report back on its relations with SACP

The African National Congress (ANC) is expected to give a report back on its relations with the South African Communist Party (SACP) this Sunday.

The party has instructed all its regional and branch executive committees to convene special regional meetings across the country to brief members on the ANC’s National Executive Committee decision on the matter.

ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula says, “We reiterate our communique to all provinces that they must convene Regional General Meetings over the weekend to communicate the decisions and resolutions of the Special NEC meeting that was held last week. So, its decisions will be communicated to the structures.”

“We have already started briefing the alliance. We will also brief various structures of the organisation, the Veterans League, the Women’s League NEC and the Youth League about this decision of the ANC and on Monday in Johannesburg, we will hold a media briefing on the outcomes of the Special Executive Committees.”
