Mnisi returns to testify at Madlanga Commission over Tshwane tenders

Suspended Tshwane Chief Financial Officer Gareth Mnisi will, on Monday, return to testify before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria.

He is accused of tender manipulation in the procurement of security services for the City of Tshwane.

Earlier, Mnisi denied financially benefiting from security companies that have been doing business with the city.

Three security companies contracted by the City of Tshwane are under scrutiny at the Madlanga Commission. They include Gubis 85 Solutions, Triotic Protection Services and Ngaphesheya Security.

Mnisi has distanced himself from all three, stating that he has never personally benefited from any of them. Gubis 85 Solutions, owned by Calvin Mahlangu, received the lion’s share of the multi-million-rand security tender.

Triotic Protection Services has been linked to ANC Tshwane chairperson and former regional secretary, Eugen Modise.

Ngaphesheya Security is owned by Bheki Nkosi, who is linked to Sergeant Fannie Nkosi, a close associate of Mnisi.
