DA leader Geordin Hill-Lewis launches Gauteng community tour

The newly elected Democratic Alliance leader, Geordin Hill-Lewis, is kicking off a community engagement tour in Gauteng on Monday.

He will be joined by senior party officials, including new DA Federal Chairperson Solly Msimanga, Helen Zille and Cilliers Brink.

This follows the party’s Federal Congress, held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg, over the weekend.

The tour is expected to focus on jobs, service delivery and community safety.

DA Federal Chairperson Solly Msimanga says, “We will be in Attridgeville, engaging with residents, engaging with our structures there. We will also be going to Soweto, where we will also be there with Helen Zille and the other mayoral candidates. And we will also be going to the Vaal, focusing on Emfuleni, where we will be meeting with King Sol Tshabalala as the mayoral candidate and others there. And we will have a meeting with the mayoral teams to set up a way forward in terms of the campaigning towards the 2026 elections.”
