Six suspects linked to the brutal killing of 22-year-old e-hailing driver Isaac Satlat have appeared in the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court, and the matter has been postponed to the 3rd of March.
Only five of the accused were brought before the court after an administrative error prevented one of them from appearing.
Satlat was killed inside his vehicle in Atteridgeville in Pretoria earlier this month.
Their legal representative confirmed they will not be applying for bail and will remain in custody.
Satlat Family Apokesperson, Smart Nwobi, says they want justice.
“It could have been anyone that got that would become the victim, because looking at the (situation) it seems it’s a robbery, a premeditated one. But at this stage since, the matter is still pending. I do not want to say that Isaac was particularly targeted because he is a Nigerian. I would say that he is just someone who was trying to fend for himself and this is pure crime being committed,” says Nwobi.
