Suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner for Crime Detection Shadrack Sibiya has been accused at the Madlanga Commission in Pretoria of implementing his own plan regarding the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) dockets that were already on the court roll.
An amendment plan on the 121 dockets stated that 114 that were already on the court roll should remain with the Political Killings Task Team.
Evidence leader Adila Hassim has put it to General Sibiya that his decision to refer the dockets on the court roll to General Khosi Senthumule did not come from Police Minister Senzo Mchunu nor National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola.
“I think we can leave it there, because what that confirms, then, is that you were acting on your own, without, not in accordance with instructions from either the minister or the national commissioner.”
