Scene of the shooting
A man, believed to be in his 30s has been killed in what is alleged to be a drive-by shooting at Westville in Durban.
It is alleged the victim was travelling alone in his vehicle when he was shot at.
Emergency services say due to the severity of the multiple gunshots he sustained, he was declared dead on scene.
Spokesperson for ALS paramedics, Garrith Jamieson, “A shooting incident had taken place in the corner of Mason Road and back in Terrace Road in the Westville area west of Durban. Paramedics arrived and seemed to find SAPS are already in attendance and was shown into a vehicle which had been shot multiple times. Paramedics assisted the driver believed to be the only occupant of the vehicle and found to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. The male, believed to be in his 30s, sustained fatal injuries.”
