Accused in Lusanda Mathabela murder case to appear in Nelspruit Court


One of the two young men accused of killing 19-year-old Lusanda Mathabela last year, Lungelo Sithole, is set to appear at the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court in Mpumalanga on Friday.

Sithole and Katlego Mokoena allegedly stabbed Mathabela to death at her home in Mattafin near Mbombela. The pair has been kept in custody since their arrest late last year.

In the last court appearance, Sithole said he intends to plead not guilty. His formal bail application is continuing on Friday.

Meanwhile, Mokoena’s matter was postponed to the 26th of this month.
