Deputy President Paul Mashatile has expressed his deepest condolences on the passing of Bantu Church of Christ leader, Bishop John Bolana.
Bishop Bolana, who was the fifth Bantu Church of Christ Bishop, passed away at his home in Gqeberha at the age of 82 after a short illness.
In a statement, Mashatile says he has been engaging with Bishop Bolana and his church since his appointment to champion social cohesion and nation building initiatives across the country.
Mashatile says Bishop Bolana was not merely a church leader but a cornerstone of many communities in the Eastern Cape and beyond.
